Impact - the focus of the project
Via a “terra tithe” charged at booking you will contribute directly to nature restoration, rewilding or regenerative agriculture projects.
While staying with us, you will experience the nature restoration or agriculture projects to see exactly where your contributions are going and their impact.
You may even be able to get your hands dirty!
We employ locals to manage our sites, use local service providers and cooperate with local partners in the community and other tourism businesses to reinvigorate rural economies.
We work with credible partners that measure impact of rewilding and regen ag projects.
A core goal is to de-risk the transition to regen ag for farmers and to provide a new source of income to fund rewilding work.
Radical transparency
No greenwashing here.
Inspired by the Fogo Island Inn, we embrace a business model of radical transparency so that you can see how cash flows through our business to our staff, suppliers, into the local community and onwards towards the projects we fund.
The “Tierra tithe” will be added at booking, like a resort fee common at many hotels, so you can immediately see your contribution.
The specific work and project supported by the tithe will be explained in the booking process and documented in receipts.
In cooperation with partners, we will publish annual reports with total contributions and results from host farmers and rewilding projects.
Staying with us isn’t just a vacation, you’ll interact directly with the on-going work in the landscape and be able to learn about nature restoration through curated wilderness experiences like guided safaris, wolf sighting, vulture watching, deer rutting, etc.
We hope you return home newly aware of these emerging land restoration activities and that you’ll go on to support others like it
Education
At our farm locations, our host farmers will offer tours, workshop/learning opportunities and, of course, delicious highly nutritious food.
We are building partnerships with ecommerce B2C platforms that will allow you to order the delicious fare you enjoyed on the farm when you return home.
